Bill & Pam Hannaford started in the jewellery industry in the 1970's in South Australia. Bill, a former National President of the Housing Industry of Australia and Pam (with her love of antiques and keen eye for quality) soon had a thriving jewellery business in Adelaide servicing many celebrity clients such as Liberace.

Meet the Designer
In 1993 an opportunity was presented to Bill and Pam to open a store at Pacific Fair. It was about this time that Nicole graduated from St Hilda's school. With her passion for gemstones and her natural flair for design, Nicole certainly was a certainty to work amongst beautiful jewellery. She started working in the business at age 5, where she would answer the telephone, and as a young teenager, she worked weekends and holidays in the stores where people were impressed with her knowledge and sales ability.
Upon graduating from school, Nicole joined her parents full time in running the Pacific Fair Store which opened in May 1994. Not long after the store opened, Nicole completed a Diploma of Gemmology and is a fully qualified and registered Gemmologist and Valuer.

We are an Australian owned and operated family business with over 40 years in jewellery. 5th Avenue services clientele with select items of jewellery from all around the world. With a distinctively different approach to customer care, every detail is covered in bringing that "dream" item into reality. Strictly no synthetics with only natural gemstones sold in store, 5th Avenue boasts one of the finest selections available.
